Just a small update – we are leaving colorado today!  end of the break and start of the next leg of the trip.  some more blogs should be coming up soon as we have been writing and attempting to get them nocked off of late and i shall use the car trips for the next legs to get more written for you!
this trip will look like:
Fri – sun: Yampa / Steam boat springs (for a look around) which will include time on Megan’s uncles ranch which will include some snow mobiling
Sun: Aspen to see Lloyd then down to grand juntion
Monday: drive to Vegas
Tuesday: Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, stay night in Sedona Arizona
Wednesday: Drive to either Sandiego or LA.
then we will have a few days in Vegas, and then we will be newport for a couple as well, then it is off to hawaii!
so thats what its looking like!
last night we went to the rodeo!  HUGE amounts of fun  they have some really odd things there, like strapping 6 year olds onto sheep and letting them ride them ala bull riding for little kids.  its cute though, they are all padded and they get a trophey bigger then themselves even if they fall off straight away!
Also – a monkey strapped to the back of a sheep dog that does its sheep dog stuff with small deer.  the monkey is dressed in cowboy clothes – its a little disconcerting but very funny!
i’ll put some photos up before i go!  it was the 100th national western stock show!   So all pomp and circumstance at part for that century fact!  It was SO much fun!  we had a blast!   ate “snow cones”  but this is american – everything is huge, so they were actually “snow buckets”  it was HUGE,  i needed a shovel to get to the bottom of this thing!   and yet in -2.5 weather it went down well!  a bucket of snow……
stopped of at Ihop for dinner on the way home – continuing the “try american fast food” theme that has been going on…  my system doesn’t ever really like it, so we only get to try one a week or so, but still, can’t go to america, the home of fast food and not try a couple!
the other in colorado is good times!   Wild Fries and Custard!
anyways, wash and packing needs to occur, so yeah,  more to come, promise!  i have half finished blogs all over the place! as does megan!  so with any luck in Sedona when we have the internet again (perhaps evern in grand junction) we will have some blogs up for you!
